Good place to eat good food friendly Staff and owner I believe that the owner always walk around and say hi And ask how are you doing today

We are visiting Covington for the week and decided we wanted to try some local food. Overall, this place was average. It felt like we were stepping into 2005 — it had massive Shari's vibes. Nothing wrong with that (we honestly kind of enjoyed it, as it gave us some nice nostalgia.) The service was great! We were greeted immediately by our host, seated and then soon followed our waitress. She was a very kind woman (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) and was quick with our orders & attentive on refills, making sure we were enjoying ourselves, etc. The food... It wasn't all that bad! Definitely average. Nothing spectacular, and a little on the greasy side, but that's okay. We thought that it was a little too pricey for the quality of food that we got, if we are being honest. To put it plain: great service, average food and atmosphere, and too expensive for the experience.

This family-style diner in Covington is homey and simple. The service is pretty good, despite what I read in other reviews. I didn’t have any issues waiting for service and the waitress was fairly attentive. I’m giving this restaurant a 3.3 out of 5 due to my grandmother’s breakfast plate of pancakes, eggs, and sausage. The sausage was leathery, the eggs were undercooked, and the pancakes were like ping-pong paddles. That said, my “California” burger wasn’t bad, and the fries were nicely crisped. The only negative I have to say about the burger is the avocado portion was smaller than I’d like. I hope this spot steps up its overall cooking game.

Friday night arrived around 7:15pm, got seated in about 6 minutes with a party of 4. Typical American food: steaks, burgers, salad, pasta. I ordered the chicken parmesan but was disappointed that the chicken was not breaded as it should. Unless it was but wasn't really good. My husband ordered the Jessie Special which consists of a steak, shrimp and fettuccine. Steak was made to medium rare, good but hard to chew. My kids ordered the Mac and cheese and cheese pizza. We ordered two beers and two strawberry lemonades. Total came to about $89. Food was decent, may come back and try other dishes.

Nice, quite, local diner. Fast service that is quick to top off coffee several times throughout the meal. My server had a smile on her face the whole morning. I'll definitely return again and again, I suspect.
